Cold rolled that is pickled and oiled produces the highest quality cuts. You can cut cold rolled, hot rolled, and hardened steel. High carbon materials, like AR500 or AR650 can also be cut with plasma. You can cut materials such as copper and brass, but this will require additional material preparation and non-conventional cutting techniques. Sheet metal can be cut, but foils cannot be cut because the pierce and cut evaporate a large area of the material when hit by the high power plasma arc. Expanded or perforated materials can be cut.
